Help!

I just got a chrome 85/2.0 as is for about $75 from eBay. This lens looks great and the glass is with out scratches. The focus is smooth and even. I've started taking a test roll already.

The one problem I've noticed is a handful of black specks lying about on internal surfaces. It looks like paint flecks to me. It looks like far too few to hurt the image. I'll know after my test.

Is this fixable? If it is cleaned out, is the paint likely to continue to flake. Does the inside need to be stripped and repainted? If so is it a DIY or an expensive professional repair?

Thank you,

Thank you,

The flake is likely in the space between the 4 and 5 element. You can use a paper tape folding back to make a two side tape. Wrap it around the rim near front end and twist hard by right hand counter clockwise while left hand holding near rear end. Don't use any tool. You don't need to loosen any ssrew. Remember to mark between apperture ring and barel to know where to put it back. PM me if you need pictures.
