Hi. I'm fairly sure I'm just doing something wrong but ... I recently bought Fotidiox micro 4/3 adapters for Leica M and Nikon F mount lenses – I actually got the mounts before I got my camera, a Panasonic GF-1. I’m having trouble mounting the lenses (I had no trouble with an old set of Fotodiox 4/3 lens adapter when I used them for an E500).
What an I doing wrong here?
I can mount my lens on the adapter and mount the adapter on the camera. But when I attempt to capture an image, the words “Please check that the lens is attached correctly” pop up on the screen.
This happens with both mounts. The only possible variation I can see would be the little pin on the GF-1 lens mount may not be aligning with the gap on the surface of the lens mount. But if that's the case, then it would mean two separate mounts have similar issues. Saw nothing in this forum or on line to help (Panasonic's manual wasn't helpful either).
I'd appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance.

Check and make sure that you have enabled "Shoot w/o lens" in the custom menus...

I don't have a u4/3rds body yet but have been researching a lot since I'm contemplating on getting one. I've read in several articles that you have to go into the camera 'menu' and choose 'shoot without lens' when using an adapter + legacy lens......hope I got that right!

Yes thats it. The camera is expecting an electrical connection to the lens, so Panasonic have a menu option to 'shoot w/o lens (connection)'. So I would guess both your mounts are OK EarleK.Steve
