Hi All,

Just a brief question. Once I register the M8 (USA) on-line, does Leica then send through the mail a form by which I select the two free IR filters?

Dealer had one blank form but before I copy his form and fill it out...I assume after I register the M8 on-line, the form Leica sends has my camera's serial number already on it? Some additonal info would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Dave

you can submit the form online, no need to mail anything in. Took about 1 month to get a 39mm and a 46mm.

About two weeks ago, I registered Friday online, mailed in my paperwork, and that following Friday I had a surprise visit from FedEx with my 39 & 46 filters. They came from Leica NJ. Pretty fast from what I've read and heard.
I wish my free D Lux-3 battery/SD wallet would come pretty soon. It's been almost 3 months.

Hi,

I appreciate both your replies. One of you mentioned there is nothing to mail in...just register on-line and fill out the on-line request forms for the filters...the other mentioned to register on-line BUT then mail in the filter request. So is it necessary to mail in anything or can it all be done on line? Thanks!

Dave

Thanks Gene and everyone else...so it looks like it can all be done on-line..Nice!

Much appreciated!

When I registered online, it took me to a page that you need to imput the filters you want. I don't know if I needed to mail the card, but I did. Sorry if I didn't make it clear, this is just what I did following the information om the card. While doing the online registration, it will take you to a page where it asks for the filters you want. Then, depending on the size, sit back and wait. Hopefully, it will be quick like mine.

Thanks Artorus (& everyone).

I appreciate the detailed explanation. The reason I wanted to make sure I did it right is so I didn't miss out on getting the two filters. Sort of like rebates on products...mess up on a single requirement and the rebate goes out the door, so to speak.

Again thanks!

Dave

After I registered on line I got a confirmation email from Leica that I printed out - just in case. Waiting ofr the filters for only 5 days now.

Registered on-line and filled form out, an email from leica confirms the order, it took 2 weeks exactly to get 2 39mm filters (arrived 2 days ago) , Fed-Ex, sent from Germany. (all my lenses use 39mm fiters). I did send the paper registration postcard to Leica also but it has no bearing on the filter order.
