Any shoot MF slides, and project with the Hasselblad PCP80?

I've had one for years, with all three lenses, but, well, it hasn't been used much.

Is this an item worth hanging on to?

Does this have a loyal following?

Not sure if there are any loyal followers left. But I have one and is hanging on to it for dear life. I just enjoy projecting those 6x6 chromes from my Mamiya 6 and enjoy the viewing all to myself. I hope to I continue doing that long after E6 has died.

I shoot MF slides but use a Rollei P11 to project. There is something about a slide that comes only out of it when you project it. Now if I only could be bothered to put more slides in frames I'd use it more...

Our film group's been after a MF projector of any sort for a while now. Sadly quite hard to come across (for a reasonable price) down-under.

I've been lusting after a Hasselblad projector since I saw it in a brochure more than a decade ago. The magic of projecting a 35mm slide through my Kodak projector is incredible, and I can only imagine how good my 6x6 slides will look! Unfortunately it costs a fortune (no pun intended!) but I'd definitely love to own one if an opportunity comes along...

I've got the equipment but sadly haven't have time. I got mine from KEH 2 years ago because I knew they wet hard to get. Projected a test slide to see if it all works. Massive thing. I just have to sneak into an IMAX theatre next!

How large is your slide collection, and do you want to scan them all if you get rid of your projector? I have a huge number of 35mm slides all organized in trays, so wouldn’t consider getting rid of my 35mm slide projector. However, I have only a modest collection of MF slides plus an old Leitz Prado Universal. Compared to your Hasselblad, this isn’t so much of an investment so I plan on keeping it.

It’s already becoming difficult to find MF slide processing labs, so at some point keeping the projector may be only for the collection you have accumulated. It would be a pity to have your Hasselblad system sitting around, but even now, can you sell it for a reasonable price? It might already be better to just hang on to it. If I had a Hasselblad projector, I’d keep it.

Yes! Ever since I was a kid, I have been fascinated by the large-format motion picture processes, such as VistaVision, Todd-AO, Cinerama, Ultra Panavision, etc. It was a case of "when I grow up, I'm gonna show my slides on a big wide screen."

So Here's the screen:

It's 4 x 8 feet, for a 2:1 aspect ratio.

And Here's the business end:

As you can see, I use a multi-projector setup for 35mm slides, but only one PCP-80 at present for my (Ahem) 70mm productions . . .
