Hi,
From my last trip to Puglia (south of Italy)..
Unfortunately they are made with an evil SLR (F3 HP)

TMax 400 exposed at 200.. scans are form prints, but my flatbed is not that good.

btw is the "evil SLR" forum disappeared?

Very nice.

Only been to Umbria in the South, many years ago and want to go back.

Thanks for posting.

Roland.

Ciao Roberto
I think you did a very nice work with b/w, especially the ones in the church and the old town.. you just spoiled me because I too I'm going to southern Italy soon (Battipaglia / Salerno) and there are too other places like these, although not that beautiful norman castle.

hem, please... forget provoking, economical or cultural borders.. let's stay to facts
within squared frames, there are the relative chief towns.
Northern Italy arrives til the tosco-emilian apennin, thus including Val d'Aosta [Aosta], Piedmont [Turin], Lombardy [Milan], Trentino Alto Adige [Trento], Veneto [Venice], Friuli Venezia Giulia [Trieste], Liguria [Genoa] and Emilia Romagna [Bologna].

If anyone is interested in history, the southern border follows roughly the so called german "Gothic" line during WWII

Central Italy includes Tuscany [Florence], Latium [Rome], Marche [Ancona], Umbria [Perugia], Abruzzo [L'Aquila] (where there has just been the earthquake) and Molise [Campobasso]

Again, the southern border is placed somewhere south of the so-called german "Gustav" line

Southern Italy: Campania [Naples], Basilicata [Potenza], Apulia [Bari], Calabria [Catanzaro]

Insular: Sicily [Palermo] and Sardinia [Cagliari] (regions) plus other minor islands.

I really love the picture taken in the church with the vaulted ceilings. It makes me feel as though I'm actually there observing everyone in the church. Well done.

Thank you Dino for the enlightening post.

Thanks gentlemen! :)
They are such wonderful places that I feel I didn't do enough.. I still have to develop a roll of color film (Bessa R2A) with some pictures of the "Murgie" and Trani, hopefully I'll be able to post something more.

Rob.
