i lost my development times.
haven't processed film in 5 years.
i used to shoot hp5 at 250
using hc110 dilution b.

i do not see times listed for that iso/asa.
does anyone know the right dev time?

thanks in advance,
richard

250 or at best 320 is the true ISO of HP5 in HC110. Just as the true ISO in DDX is around 650.

Cheers,

R.

hi.
does that mean i should use the 400 asa times as a starting point?
i do recall actually giving hp5 more dev time.
and processing at high temp. at times
and getting good results.
but mainly i remember the times were in excess of
what i read. (may have to do with my thermometer, or water
at the time).

I'd certainly go 10% over as a starting point. Certainly, no less than the EI 400 digures. As your own experience bears out!

This one was at EI200 inHC-110 Dil. H for 7 min. with 1st 30s agitation and 3 gentle inversions / min. 20º Celsius.

I was very pleased with the results of 120 at EI200 with the compensation dilution H.

Good luck
