Hello together.

Just wanted to share that my Leica came back from its mothership. (Solms)
I sent it there for a CLA and it is really smooth now and I even got 1 year warranty.

Had to pay 400 Euros but it feels great to have a working camera for the next ten years.

I know that there are cheaper ways to get it fixed, but knowing that your Leica is being well treated is something you can't put a price on.

Service was quick with a turnaround time about 2 weeks and all in all I am happy.

I know it's expensive, but there's just something very cool about old Leicas going back to the mothership.

BTW, that chrome ZM looks awesome on your M2. I've been suffering from severe ZM Biogon GAS recently.

Sorry to be pedantic, but shouldn't "mother ship" for an M2 be E. Leitz, Wetzlar?

Fair point, but not having access to a time machine right now I think we can accept Solms as a reasonable substitute 🙂
