Putting an item up for trade...

Urban legend?

Urban legend?

This is kind of like in NYC when people gather around someone perched on a ledge and shout JUMP!!!!!

Did you ever actually witness this in or around NYC?
In 46 years I haven't. Saw it in the movies though...

In the 9 years I worked in Manhattan and lived in Queens and Brooklyn I saw people stop and watch. The ones that comment loadly they should jump were always the people who continued walking by at a brisk (normal for New Yorker) pace.

I guess that's why tourists look up as they walk around Manhattan
(at their stunned, meandering out-of-towner pace) -
to avoid being hit by all those plummeting lunatic bodies... ;)

I used to walk my best friend part of the way home for her and me to a better F train stop. On day a stone head fell off a building and missed her by about a foot. She grew up in Manhattan and I learned how to WALK from her.

I think tourists look up to get the more inexperienced pick pockets an even chance of success. Either that or it’s to give older pigeons a better shot at a full frontal target.

I have to admit, I did it at first too. But I got over it quick. Hell, I even dragged my ex-wife from the village on a walk to the Trade Centers. After all, they looked close from there, how big could they be? She was not happy that night, but she did sleep soundly.

I can't actually put it as a trade. I can sell things, but it won't let me post a trade ad. The Wanted or Trade options don't show up.

I may try Safari to see if it's just Firefox acting up.

(And sorry for not getting back sooner, but I had to leave. I wanted ice cream and I went to try out the Sonnar in a more worthy location than my backyard. :) )

The problem actually seems to be that there are no categories inputted for trades. When I select trade in the first drop-down box and go to the next option, it gives me a blank drop-down box on the next screen.
