Apparently he's singing a different song nowadays:

"It delivers at least the same overall performance as the Leica Elmarit-M 21mm, but without the employment of aspherical surfaces and at a lower price."

"Zeiss demonstrates that it is possible to improve on first-class lenses while using conventional designs and without elevating the cost to astronomical heights. Leica has lived for a long period in an ivory tower, supported by a loyal following of collectors who were more interested in the safety of their investments than in the quality of the images that could be produced with Leica equipment."

"You do not get market share in the current photographic world without a sensible price-performance relation and here Zeiss is beginning to lead the way, at least in matters optical."

This would be a good post for the nut's Leica Forum. 😎

Puts doesn't work for Leica anymore? 😎

"AT LEAST ??!!!" Oh,oh,ohh !!! Curious how THIS will go on ! 😀
Maybe he changes the horse , beeing afraid the old one could break down soon?
Or Zeiss made the better offer for a "consulting" contract ?
Terrible times for those who considered his " tests" as their bible. 😀
Some won't hestitate tho to take this as a proof for his independence !! 😀
I expect amusing observations .

Erwin is making the same mistakes over and aover again. Zeiss optical performce has to be the starting point and not the Leica glass.
So the elamrtit 21mm f2.8 asp. doesn,t reach the optical performace of the Zeiss biogon 21mm (G-serie and ZM)

Bertram, I'm guilty of breaking your 10th commandment. Sorry. 😎

Don't worry, those are not MY commandments. I just found them funny, from various reasons. I shoot buildings too with my RF btw. So what ? 🙄
If these guys consider this to be the "wrong issue" for the "right" Leica M style it does not concern me anyway. I only own such a vulgar Cosina imitation which grants me a jester's license, you know ? For me as an anarchist by nature the Bessa is simply the better tool. 😉

The horror!

This will bring nightmares to thousands of deep-pocketed mediocre photographers 'round the world!

😀 😛

Looks indeed like he might be fishing for a job, or has already found one....

Justification for the old adage "the proof is in the pudding." The result should be the final measure of excellence, not the name of the equipment. Just a thought. Right on, Bertram2!!!
