I used the cut off end of a Tester Pocket-Pak Rosin Core Solder tube and placed the four LR44 silver cell batteries in it. Then I used a soldering iron to melt the ends over (a small crimp at 6 points) so the batteries wouldn't fall out. It worked very well for me. I do recommend putting Battery Saver by Tender Corp. (or any other conductive contact cleaner antioxidant) on the ends of the batteries.
