Q1:
Do I get less grain on a 20x24 print from
a Rolleiflex 2.8f Planar shot on Portra 400 (new)
or
a Summilux 50mm asph shot on Ektar 100?

Q2:
Do I get more sharpness on a 20x24 print from
a Rolleiflex 2.8f Planar shot on Portra 400 at f/2.8
or
a Summilux 50mm asph shot on Ektar 100 at f/1.4

Thanks!

In case the answers aren't definitive or are in fact subjective, the thread is made into a poll.

Aside from the question whether you are cropping the 6x6 to 2x3, or cropping the 35mm frame to a square, I think you are mostly splitting hairs. Why not do a test and report back in stead of doing a poll. I'd be interested in the results.

In terms of usability in low light, I would choose the leica, but If you are after fine grain/high resolution I would stick Ektar in the Rollei. Whichever combo helps you take better images is the right answer.
