Over the weekend I broke down and ordered the X100S from a seller in HK. That in mind I'm looking to order a case. Perusing the usual sites I see the physical dimensions are identical with the X100 and the X100S. Can anyone who has owned both please confirm that an X100 case will fit an X100S?
My X100 was adequately protected with a budget case I found on eBay but my preference would be to get a Luigi. His cases have protected more than one of my cameras and I'm a diehard fan his design and craftsmanship. Is anyone using a Luigi on the X100S?
Thanks to all.

FYI I have a Luigi strap (on x100 & M6) but a Gariz half case, I like the fit it give the x100 in my hand and has a perfect bottom for battery and card access. also may be a few hundred dollars less expensive- although Luigi's work is worth the money... like to hear your view of the 100s vs. the x100 which I am very fond of-

Thank you, danielsterno. The Gariz case is a smart option.

I placed an order for one of Luigi's "Basic Plus" half cases a couple of days ago for my pre-ordered X100S. Of all the cases I looked at, I prefer the coverage his case provides. I have an old Yashica Electro35 GS in a Yashica half case that my dad bought in England in the early 1970's. When it was passed to me on his death, the camera was in absolutely mint condition. I have it cleaned and the light seals replaced and it has worked perfectly for the last 15 years! I really want to protect my X100S investment so that maybe one of my kids will want it when I am gone....

Thanks for the note.
Ironically I picked up my X100S yesterday and confirmed an X100 case will fit perfectly. I then went ahead and did the same as you –*ordered a Luigi Basic Plus.

question on his Basic Plus- does it have access to battery/card or do you have to remove the case? remember guys to update us on your thoughts of the 100s vs. 100. I am very tempted but need to hear from a 100 user if the upgrade cost was worth it....... thanx-dan'l

May I ask where you bought your 100S? I'm in St. Paul and am #258 on the per-order list from Adorama.

Completely worth it... better in almost everyway, worse in no way.
TT, I bought mine from Precision Camera without being on a waiting list.

Mine gets here from B&H tomorrow, no case though. This is a key tool for me, not jewelry...

Mine came from National Camera –*I was fortunate enough to get high on the list.
Dare I say that I'm one very happy camper? This is one mighty fine camera. And my Luigi case arrived yesterday …

Re: The Luigi Basic Case
- You must remove the case for card / battery access.
- There's a door on the right side of the case for the ports, which would not have been my preference. But hey, it's a Luigi, which I love, and I got it a fine price.
- I love the shoulder strap that comes with the Luigi Basic but it's a little over kill given the size of the X100s. (See price comment above.)
- The black with red stitching is divine!
I'll hold my comments until after I've had the chance to uss the camera more. Thus far I'd call it amazing.

You do have to remove the case for battery/card changeouts. I am considering modifying the case once I have it in hand. I have seen other folks that have modified other cases to do changeouts without removal. I will let you know once my camera and case arrive. If I do it, I will post some pix.question on his Basic Plus- does it have access to battery/card or do you have to remove the case? remember guys to update us on your thoughts of the 100s vs. 100. Yah, I got an x100 case for my 100s, fits fine, but as you know you have to take the case off to change battery or access USB.
I think the actual Fuji case for the 100s has been adapted to access these without removing the case.

The Luigi case I had on my X100 fits my X100S, cannot tell the difference.
