Hi,
When I first got bitten by the RF bug I picked up several lower-priced pieces of gear on eBay.
Included was a Canon QL-19 with a nice leather case. The camera is NOT working. I "googled" it and found a very comprehensive article on how to bring it back to life. Amongst other things, as you Canonistas know, it requires that elusive 1.35 volt battery.
I've since "found" my RF passion with a Nikon S2 (and backup Bessa R2S) so have no need for the Canon.
I'm not interested in putting it on eBay. It probably wouldn't sell for much and I just don't want to deal with taking pics of it, posting a listing, dealing with buyer questions etc. I'd rather see it go to a good home and think offering it here is the best way to ensure that.
I can tell you that physically it is very clean and I suspect that someone who is familiar with it and has the time and inclination to do so can get it working again. If nothing else, it would make a good "parts camera" if you already have one (or more).
The price for this beauty?
It's for free plus shipping. Figure $10 to a US destination, $15 internationally, payable via PayPal only, please. I'll send it first class (and "eat" the cost difference if it costs any more than that and pocket the "change" if it's less). At this "price" the leather case alone is worth it if you already have a QL-19 and need a new case.
Oh, the reason why I say QL-19(?) in the Title is that while I am almost sure that is the model number it is presently at my weekend home and I am not. I often see references to a QL-17 here but I'm almost sure this is a QL-19.
Anyway, at this price, who cares?
Regards,
George
