Hello everyone,

Just out of curiosity:

(1) Is there any video or website that shows the disassembly of Fujifilm GF670w, or Voigtlander Bessa III 667W?

(2) Also, has anyone tried making it into an interchangeable lens mount system? What lens/mount would you go for?

Bests,

The answers are No and No.
Why would you want to make it an interchangable lens camera?
Why not just get a Mamiya 7 if that's what you want?

I think few people want to experiment on their $3000 camera that is now no longer in production.

Robert: Mamiya 7 models are wonderful cameras indeed. But as things stand, it is just a curiousity.

Peter: I haven't used the camera myself. But it's been on my wishlist for a very long time. Perhaps I'll be fortunate enough to acquire a used one later this year. BTW, I really enjoyed seeing your wonderful works. 🙂

?????????????

?????????????

Interchangeable lens....as in different focal lengths?

How would one go about butchering and modifying the bellows and focusing system to set parameters for different focal length locking points.

The primary reason folders of this nature are fixed focal length to focus only one lens.

Thank Fujifilm for creating and selling us a formidable medium format film camera, when no other manufacturers are building these in the digital era.

Then leave it alone.

What you want is a medium format interchangeable lens camera that is NOT a folder. You can look at folding medium format cameras going back into the 30's and I doubt you will find a folding bellows camera with interchangeable lens from any manufacturer.

OTOH there are any number of interchangeable lens cameras in both rangefinder format and SLR from almost all the manufacturers.

Kuzano,
He's discussing the 667W, which is the fixed lens wide angle version of the Bessa folder. The 667W doesn't have a bellows. However, his idea is akin to making a Rolleiflex TLR into a Mamiya C330. Just get the camera that was designed to have interchangable lenses to start with.

From my experience, the 667W lens is very sharp, high contrast, and distortion free.

The electronically controlled shutter is absolutely silent. You're going to have to deal with the autoexposure electronics to the shutter if you want to make an interchangable lens camera. The leaf shutter resides in between the lens elements, so it will go with the lens. Then you'll need another electronically controlled shutter in your next lens. Good luck with even getting the parts for all of this.

As an owner of both cameras, the regular and wide, I have to say, I really want the 43mm fixed to the wide. When I win the lottery, fuji is gonna get an email from me about it. But having said that, I do not want interchangable lenses.
