Does anyone have their hands on the X100 leather case ? What sort of quality / leather do they use ? Where is the case made from ?

I was thinking of getting a custom made case from leatherworkers based off the X100 pattern. I have emailed the crafters in the link below and they do not have the camera in their hands yet to produce a pattern, unfortunately.

Some examples:

I believe the leather used in the links above are better quality and will get cured/tanned naturally over time which gives a more classic look. IMO these will be just as good as the Luigi ones. Opinions?

With regards to spare batteries, are 3rd party ones as per link below OK for the X100?

Or should I go for original batteries on eBay as per below:

I cant speak for the case, but so far as the battery goes, I don't get why people would spend 1200 on a camera but then settle buying a 10 dollar knock off replacement battery.

My case hasn't arrived as yet but my guy at the camera shop, who is a Leica guy, loved it when he saw it with the sample. Is brown leather and has very retro styling was how it was described to me. Have one on order.
