Question about a lab

Has anyone used a lab in San Clemente, CA called "The Darkroom"? They have very good prices it seems and claim 35 years in business. Prepaid mailers too.

They are very reliable but for $10 you get small size files (400-600k) while for about a dollar more North Coast in San Diego will give you their "budget scan" of about 10 times the size.

how are the budget scans? Good color and density? How are they for dust? I have a local lab that I would use more if they could get the dust problem under control with their scans. I have used Richards Photo lab and like the results and the customer service but they are very expensive.

No problem with dust and the scans are really delicious (did I say that?).
