Hey guys, newbie here. May I just ask your opinion about Olympus 35-s rangefinder? I'm planning to get one this week. Is it a good RF? Haven't seen sample shots of it yet so if you can show me some, that woud be very helpful. Thanks!😀

Don't know exactly which model/version you'll be getting but I have several of these cameras and do love the lens and quality of how its made...
That being said there are also things to be aware of...these are things I've seen on all of the bodies I have owned...
First the focusing is a bit stiff...most likely due to old grease...it's something I've grown to live with.
Second, you'll most likely find oil on the shutter blades...it's a fairly easy fix but does require the front half of the lens being removed to get to the blades...this may have to be done several times in order to get all of the oil...
Rangefinder alignment might be off...the adjustment can be found by removing the flash shoe cover...
My bodies are all the same and have the same G. Zuiko 42mm 1.8 lens...it's the same lens found on the later Olympus 35-SP, only difference being the SP lens is a 1.7
The lens will render a sharp but smooth image...it's truly a beautiful thing to see...I normally have B&W film loaded in mine...
This is what I have...

A good manual rangefinder.
Find one with the patch that still has a good contrast, and you're set.
The lens is a glass Zuiko, how bad can it be?

nice. thank you guys for your replies! and for sample photos @shadowfox and @ OlympusRF..looks like a really good RF, indeed.

@niko thanks man!that's really something to know.
