question about silverfast 8 update and compatability

from what i have read, the silver fast 8 will be completely compatible with osx lion

but i'm a little fuzzy on the details about the "free upgrade" to silver fast 8, from a previous version..that was purchased from June 1st 2011, to December 31st 2011.

the silverfast website, said that they'd offer a free upgrade from version 6.6 (assuming that the product was bought within the above dates.

i recently bought the plustek 7600, but specifically, i bought the 'AI Studio' Version...so will my free upgrade to silverfast 8 also be for the AI Version? or will the free upgrade be for the most basic version?

i'm really keen on trying the multi exposure feature, which is only present in the higher end versions of the software.

I'd assume to the "similar" version; if you'd gotten the SE version with the scanner, you'd have t pay to upgrade that to AI.

They have a Florida office- you can call Boris there (see website) and discuss to confirm.

The upgrade is to the most robust SF8 version. Got my free upgrade last week. You just have to use their web form to submit a copy of your receipt. And, yes, it works perfectly with Lion.
