Question about the Nikon SB-800 Flash

Ok so I have primarily been a canon guy as far as DSLR's go. I have shot a ton of events with my 5D mkii and 580exii flash. I do however have a Nikon D3 for my work cam, and an accompanying SB-800 flash.

My question is this. Does the SB-800 have a IR focusing beam like my 580exii or even 430 exii?? I usually shoot in a very dark environment ie:

I tried using the D3 last week and was unable to turn on any sort of IR beam in the menus. It was very annoying in the dark bar to be popping off blinding pre-focus flash bursts.

I know, I checked online this morning but cant find anything.

Yes, but I don't know how. Nikonusa has a downloadable manual if you need it...
