Normally I use a Carl Zeiss Flektogon 2.8/20 as SWA lens on my RF. Because the CZ Flektogon is a SLR lens it is a little bit to heavy and huge on a RF. So I am looking for a RF SWA and decided to buy a Voigtländer 4/21mm in M39/LTM.
The reason for M39/LTM Version is you can use it flexible (either on M6 oder Zorki4) , the included Viewfinder (I need it – I am normally not using a R4 or M8 😉 ) and at least the price of the LTM + Adapter( 299+55 € ) is not so different from the M-mount version (379 €). And if you count the viewfinder (149€) it is almost more economic.

Unfortunately I cant find a black version offered, only the chrome version seems to be available.
I know that objectives are manufactured in batches – so for me it looks that the black batch ist sold out. Because of the existence of the M-mount type 4/21 I doubt that there will be a further black LTM batch in future.

Does anyone have any information if there will be a new batch black LTM CVs 4/21 ? or is the LTM 4/21 discontinued in production?
Buy or wait ?

thx

To the best of my knowledge, CV no longer has an LTM body in production. So I would guess that they would shift production entirely over to M-mount lenses. But this is just a guess on my part. I will be happy to be corrected by those more in the know.

I don't think so. Are still in production the 12mm and 15mm Heliars, the 50 Nokton, 75 Heliar and 90 Lanthar.

Are confirmedly discontinued the 21mm LTM, 25mm LTM and 28mm Skopars, 35 Skopar Pancake-I, 35 Ultron, 50 Skopar.

Not shure about the 35 Skopar classic's destiny. The m-mounts are all not discontinued.
