Question about X100 optical viewfinder

Can you confirm the autofocus lock visually through the optical viewfinder, or is it like the Contax G / Fuji GA645's nonlive viewfinders?
 
There is a square in the middle if you're using spot focus that turns green when focus is achieved and red when it doesn't focus, if that answers your question?
 
There is an option to turn on an audio focus confirmation beep. There are three sound levels available and no other sounds need to be turned on.
 
That helps clear it up, thanks. So, it's not like an SLR where the viewfinder is through the lens, unless you switch to EVF.
 
There's also a second box, a corrected box, which ix activated for close focus. This is very useful for confirming you've focused on your subject, rather than the wall behind them...
 
yes the hybrid VF will illuminate a green box around where it focus, personally I have it AF only on the center point for a RF experience.
you can also enable the corrected box in the menu for a more accurate focusing on close distance
