I know there are more than a few around these forums 😉

For those who have the MB-D10 and use the camera at 8fps:

I know the RAW buffer is 20 frames and even the new Lexar 1000x card won't change that (tried it in mine, along with Sandisk 45, 60 & 90MB/s cards) but here's what I'm curious about: when set to CH, the buffer should fill in 2.5s instead of 4s - but what happens after that? Does the extra juice from the En-EL4a (or AAs) result in more speed after the buffer fills, compared to shooting without the grip? Or it it pretty much the same either way after you hit 20 frames? There's nothing in the manual

I'm trying to decide whether the grab an MB-D10 (plus battery & charger) while they're still available but would like to know whether there's any performance boost apart from knocking 1.5s off the burst time (if not, at about $335 per second, that's a pretty expensive upgrade...)

TIA,
Scott
