Question marks instead of gallery Thumbnails: Why?

For the past several days, I no longer get thumbnails at the top of the main page. I get those little blue question marks instead. I believe it happened right after I turned off JAVA after the recent scare warning. But that may not be it, because turning JAVA back on didn't fix it.

Anybody know anything about this?

I saw the same thing when I visited the Street Shooting Competition Gallery today.

There has been a major switch over to a new gallery. Links to the old gallery are dead. Finishing touches and tweaks still need to be made.

I see. So, when all is finished, will there be random thumbnails to browse the new gallery, just like with the old one?

I tried the link just now, and got no pictures from the new gallery, either. Am I rushing things, or do I have a problem?

I don't understand this statement I just found, when reading the item on the main page, about the new gallery:

Uh, the Gallery is there, but it has no pictures? I did click the link; and I did get no pictures. Must be a new kind of Gallery. So where are our pictures from the original gallery?

Rob, the photos from the older gallery have been migrated to the new gallery along with comments, ratings, and other info. I expect the photos have been deleted from the old gallery now in the interests of storage space, and if you can find any useful info there, while it still exists, go for it! 🙂
