Hi,

i received my first 3 books from Blurb today, I noticed that the printing is darker compared to the monitor screen. Blacks look more dark-green than actual black.

What settings do you use for your black and white photos ?
Lustre, Matt, Glossy, do you choose the "black and white" option when creating books ?

thanks

the books I recently received, the B&W pictures had a blue cast, the one I had printed to proof the book had no cast. Marty

Black on mine was very acceptable - used the better paper option and I think it must have been glossy paper - size 7" x 7". Wonder if size makes a difference.

Blurb Blunder

I've just received entirely the wrong book.. how disappointing and expensive. Hopefully blurb will correct the error and send my book post haste..

I thought, 'oh well make the best out of the situation' so inspected the image quality, the images (colour) have horrible horizontal banding filling the entire frame, every page.

This makes me wary of doing any other things with blurb, since the book was pretty expensive (for what it is) with p&p despite being the 7x7" square (cheapest) book.

I would hate to sell stuff on there and to think people were paying for substandard image quality as a result of printing.

I suppose it must happen sometime but how very disappointing on both counts - wrong book and unacceptable quality. No firm is 100% perfect but this does sound over the top.
Hope you sort out BLURB to your satisfaction.
