I prefer color with high contrast in my photos. Generally, which lenses offer the most contrast? Leica or Ziess or CV? I am looking at the 28 and 50mm lengths in m lenses. Thanks, Frank

With a digital camera, post processing is inevitable. Contrast is easily adjusted.

Difficult to say.
First of all when you see pictures taken by the lenses you say you don't know how many post-processing has been done.
As payasam says contrast is very easily adjusted (overall if you shot raw), and chosse in each moment how do you prefer each picture.
I have CV and I am happy. (35 1.7 which is going to be sold and 50 1.5)

In general the latest Leica asph and Apo lenses will give the highest contrast, both micro and general, closely followed by Zeiss. The CV lenses tend to be a bit less agressive. Micro contrast can never be recovered in post-processing, but macro-contrast, which I guess you are referring to, is a simple matter of pulling a slider over....

Have a look at Reid Reviews. He goes thru contrast in detail for almost all recent lens offerings from the CV Zeiss & Leica.
I don't have the 28 Cron to compare with my 28mm Zeiss Biogon, however I do have the 35 Biogon and the 35 Lux. IMHO I thought the Zeiss to have more contrast than the Lux.
