Hi!

I was wondering if I could fit the follwing pieces of equipment in either of OR both the Domke 803 satchel and Domke J3 bags:

1. Olympus E500 + 14-54 lens
2. Lecia M4-2 + Elmar-M (with Hood)
3. VC 35/2.5 pancake with hood
4. 6 rolls of film
5. Extra battery for E500

Hope to hear from you soon. Can't make up my mind on these cameras 🙂

Cheers!

I have both F803 and F3X and it shouldn't be a problem.
It could depend on the Elmar. Is it a 50, then no problem.

And i would recomend F803. Put the 25 in the bottom of the insert and som soft material above it and the M4-2 on top of it.
Film and spare battery in the bottom of the main compartment and som soft material above and the E500 above.

I really like the canvas material in Domke bags. The strap is the best among all possible bags in my opinion. And i would never buy a Domke nylon bag. 🙂

Should be no problem with F803.

Why?

I have J803 and I like it, it's great bag🙂 - canvas is great too, but the nylon seems to be better for digital cameras.

Does the nylon bag have multicoating to suit digital cameras? Thats what they do to lenses for digital use. 🙂 Or what is your point?

I have had many camera bags made of nylon and dont really like the feel of it. Occationally one scratches a hand on the sharp seams. No canvas bags from Domke are more pleasant to handle and thats the reason behind my choice.

Should fit in the 803 or J3 without a problem.
