I have a question
I`m wondering if the late 1950`s spring loaded take-up spool for Leica IIIF/IIIG will work in a pre 400000 serial number Leica IIIC *397XXX* series......
Does anyone know?
I would like to use it if possible, while I recall how nicely *smooth* it worked in my late IIIF ST back in Germany
A 1946 Chrome IIIC
"Stepper Rewind" is my main USER now

I use a Canon "pop up spindle" take up spool on a 1946 IIIc Leica, so I would think it would work on a war time IIIc just fine.

CRR Luton re=manufacture them at about 30 GBP, I think he only makes one fit them all spool, clever.
But if you have a scrap Zorki spool then if your file off the two rivets and glue back the film clip, it will work ok. It does in my just post WWII IIIc. If you are good you can replace the rivets so they dont interfere.

P.S. the forum must have lots of scrap Zorkis?

Thanks Noel,
I know a guy here who`s got a few Leitz IIIF/IIIG one`s at like $50 each, MIB
(Mint in the box) I don`t need it that badly (yet)
I assume that $30 to $50 is the going rate......I remember when they were less then $10, but just like the day`s of $3 Okara and Orako RF filters - back in 1980`s Germany they are long gone

I just scored one the other day for $48 Mint/Boxed era 1953 (a little pricey) but considering that they are NEAR impossible to find.....
It`s going in the 46' IIIC as soon as the next roll out, after this weekend!
Then I`m going to try some Crossprocessing with the f1.5 Canon on board, see how crazy that turns out
