My XP1 is on a truck somewhere in the great land ocean of the Midwest. When it arrives, probably with camera and lens firmware ver. 1.00, I will update both camera and lens firmware. I have done the X100 updates (many) so I'm familiar with Fuji's routine.
My question is how to update the lens. When you power up holding down the back button or whatever to reveal the firmware version does it list BOTH firmware versions? The camera and the attached lens?
Not too clear on this.

IIRC, you can only do the body or lens at one time, not both simultaneously. The camera update menu will allow you to choose 1 or the other; I did the body 1st, then the lens.

OK, that was my question. Does the readout list both camera and lens versions and I think the answer is yes. Of course you cannot do both simultaneously, although that would be nice if everything was integrated into one file.
Thank you, furcafe.

The updates are as you experienced with the x100 pretty easy to do. I updates the camera, 35, and 60 one at a time in about 10 minutes. Just follow the fuji instructions on the webpage that contains the download. One hick up I was skipping formatting the card after doing the first lens. No problem just make sure to format the card before each download.
