Questions about my M2

Just like you, I just received my M2. My first Leica. What a beauty! As far as the shutter noise goes, I did not compare it to my GSN, but I did a non-scientific comparison with the Canonet (also leaf shutter) and found the M2 to be as quiet or perhaps a little quieter (but I might be influenced by the extra $500). I also have a Bessa R3A and I can tell you that those two are worlds apart. Enjoy the camera.

What are you using for a light meter? I have a hand held meter, but I am wondering if it would be more convenient to get one of the Cosina Voigtlander shoe mount meters?

High 5! Have you gotten any lense for your M2? I dont intend to get a light meter. 😀 Im just to cheapskate to get one. Haa! So i will going around guessing my camera settings which im already goin with my GSN. 😀 Cheers to our "New" M2!!

Btw im saving up for a CLA. Manage to contact Youxin ye! His price is really very reasonable. Maybe you can consider bringing your M2 for a spa too!

I made the mistake of going into a Leica shop here in NYC. I told myself I just wanted to look. Well I couldn't resist the 50/f2 summicron Dual Range. I am tempted to sell my Bessa kit to pay for it, but I have a feeling I'll just end up getting more gear... I must resist.
