After much fiddling i've determined that on my m7 that little blinky dot that shows up at seemingly random times isn't caused by my dx reader being out of contact with the films dx strip but rather the cheapish iso dial getting somehow out of whack....so....i just gaffer taped the bugger in place and for a week now....no blinky dot has been showing up. Of course this fix kind of blows chunks if you dn't like shooting at rated speeds and what nots....but hey....i leave it on dx now and no blinky dot...i let ma speedy brain do the thinking and just compensate the old fashioned way if i want to rate my film other than indicated.

edit: The iso dial being out of whack comment may need a little clarification....i don't mean that it got knocked to some other speed but rather an extremely minute amount so that it still looks like it's on the right speed.
