the 35 is an old favourite of mine, used before (different copy) with film cameras and now on the rd1.
the canon 28 has some softness on the sides of some images, but not this one so much.

yeah, i will keep both. the canon is a bit funky in that in some pics the edges are very, very soft. i actually like the effect but i need to figure out why/when it happens so that i have some control over it.

If I'm not wrong, when you stop down, the soft edges on the Canon 28mm f/2.8 LTM sharpens up considerably. Give it a shot.
