I just want to make sure mine is working the way it is supposed to. If I focus on something, then focus on it again (without moving) the lens resets and attempts focus again. The constant in and out of the lens and the "whiz/clunk" every time I focus is kind of getting on my nerves.
I like using the continuous focus setting when it is dark (learned that tip here on RFF), but I have to keep turning my camera off in between shots. Walking around with the camera at your side, with it making noises constantly is weird and it seems like a big battery drain

I don't think Fuji really designed the continuous focus mode as a 'walk-around' photography. Isn't it meant for when you're in the midst of the action you want to capture. If I'm just walking around looking for possible photos, mine's always set for single auto focus or manual focus.

And I don't understand why continuous focus mode would be any better than single focus mode in low light. Can you explain?

continous seems to find the focus faster than single (in general).
i have no idea why.
