I am somewhat relieved after looking at the prints from my photos. On screen, they don't look as sharp. But a 4x6 comes fine except a few shots.

Hi Man...maybe the resolution of your monitor? Also, have you tried adjusting sharpening inside the camera? Maybe for your eyes and your desires, you need to increase the level of internal sharpening the camera performs. You would go to the main menu, then into 'film settings'....

Hi there..I got the same problem when shooting indoor wide open..focus appear 'soft' (and it shouldn't be with a Biogon 35, I got better results 2 years ago when I just bought this cam, or it could be myself getting old
) it could be different issues as mentioned already in the thread. Questions:
(1) I am wearing glasses, would it be that my eyes are not close enough with the viewfinder?
(2) What's the DIY way to check the mechanical alignment of the camera? So I can verify if its the camera problem.
Many thanks!!

Actually most of the time now I shoot with CV15 and scale (blind) focus most of the time @ F8, with its huge DOF , all pictures are razor sharp. Would this mean that the alignment of the cam is good?
