R-D1 framelines undersized?

I've been enjoying shooting with my recently acquired R-D1, but I have noticed that the framelines are woefully undersized at anything past minimum focus. I was planning to buy a 28mm lens to use with the 28mm framelines, but a 35mm lens works better with those framelines.

A 50mm lens also puts down a larger image than the 50mm framelines indicate in the finder, and I wonder if a longer lens - 75mm - might be a better match.

A 28mm lens seems unusable with the 28mm framelines, to me, as those frames are already at the edge of the finder.

Has anyone else noticed the same thing? What lenses do you find match nicely with the R-D1 framelines?

You are correct about the frame lines. They are tight. It doesn't bother me much. I usually remind myself of where the frames fall with a particular lens by taking a photo and chimping it right after. Then I know how to shoot it with the frame line selected. A 75mm lens works ok with the 50mm lines, but its not exact. I still have to chimp it the first time to see where the outline of the lens falls.
