R-D1 lens set

So coming from film, I was using the following set 15/35/50
(VC 15/4.5, 35/1.8 Canon, 50/1.5 Leitz Summarit)

So now.. I move to the R-D1 and am not quite satisfied.. obviously I've lost my wide angle coverage.
I am happy with my 50 becoming a short tele and 15 being still superwide, but not quite as wide.

So for the 35-equiv and 50-equiv portion of my set, what is the best combo..
-28/40 (not really all that close, but cheapest option)
-25/35 (closer but VC 25 is slow and Zeiss 25 is expensive)
-21/35 (same problem as above)
-some other option
With any of the above, I would probably sell the current 35/1.8 to replace with either non-35 or a faster-35.

Any thoughts.. what works for you?

Well I have the lenses listed in my signature below for my R-D1

CV 15/4.5 with a 21mm finder (15 = 22ish)
CV 28/1.9 Ultron (28 =42ish)
CV 40/1.4 Nokton (40 = 60)
Leica 50/2 Summicron (50 = 75)

Which covers a very nice range.

to best approximate your film set of 15/35/50 you would need to get a 10/23/33 which don't actually exist -- but you can come close.

I went the 28/40 route that you describe above (plus a 15 and a 50) and find it to make a very nice, flexible -- and affordable -- set for the R-D1.

Have a look at the CV 12mm, 28, and 35 or a 40. Would come close to what you had before.

I might be putting the cart before the horse here, but on film my favourite lenses were 28 and 85, or 35 on a Leica.

When I got the R-D1, my most used was 21mm, but because of the external V/F, I've gradually re-trained my eye, and now I use 28mm and 40/50mm more.

I've never taken to 35mm on the R-D1, though I've tried (had 5 of them over the last two years and let them all go...)
