Cheers,

Definitely! Colours in the third pictures are stunning. And I like the dynamic and expression of the singer. Very nice work. But the drummer picture (second from last) tops it all.

Really good photos. Very nice colour.
Not enough grain. I mean, I am not amused that the R-D1 looks so good at 1600 compared to my M8 at 1250. Envy!

Thanks for the replies. Once again 800 iso seems for me, the sweet spot for the R-D1. This gig was one of the most poorly lit I have been to with the multi-coloured lights flashing on an off.

I am very impressed with the 40/1.4 wide open - as always :) and the focal length is just right to shoot from the front row.

The IQ of your M8 runs circles around the R-D1 at about any ISO speed below 1600, it is only fair that us R-D1 owners have something to be proud of (beside the ergonomics of course)

they look good, i generally try and get at least 1/90th on my live music shots if possible.
high iso on the rd-1 looks much better than the m8 sometimes...sometimes the m8 shines...when the exposure is just right...

nice work...
any venue info?
