Last weekend I went up to Edinburgh for the weekend for a stag do, whilst i was there I managed to get a good number of pictures, including an entire day shooting mainly with my R-D1.. along with my Bronica RF645 as well.

I've uploaded 200+ shots taken that day at full resolution here

I've not exactly been stingy with which i uploaded.. mostly being critically sharp was enough to be included.. they're quite snapshoty as i was mostly rushed around and i'm not that good a photographer yet, but they may be interesting for those thinking of buying.. or wondering what is in Edinburgh (great place to visiit btw!!!!)

Cheers

Thanks.. no it was all a bit of a rush and didn't get chance to do much of the touristy thing, aside from a good number of walks where i was able to grab these images.. it was very rushed though and they're more snapshotty than i'd hope.. still good fun.

It was a lesson though carrying my medium format rig up as well as my R-D1 and a compact Fuji F30... too many cameras really, especially going up by train!!!!

I'll update this thread when i get my Bronica MF scans online.

nice shots. very sharp. What lens did you use? small amount of darkess in someof the corners??? But otherwise nice stuff.

I used the voigtlander 15mm, and 35mm 1.7 (for lightness) .. the wider shots are from the 15mm which does vignette quite badly, on some shots its fine, on others its ok.. I processed the files in C1 so had no easy access to anti vignette tools of epson's raw converter.. i may go over and redo those that bother me with that to see if it helps :)

ohh and i perhaps over sharpened them in C1 but as most ppl only ever look at the standard shot or the one larger in flickr I thought it best to make it look its best there, if only to leave the 100% shots looking slightly oversharpened to the few who get there...

not exactly on topic but its still on topic for the forum at least and it keeps it together with the other link which is photos from the same trip with my R-D1 .. I've just finished uploading the shots i took with my Bronica RF645 medium format film camera.. high res shots at 2400dpi are online, to be honest i really should have scaled these ones back a bit as they were hitting against the 10meg per file flickr limit and so at 100% suffer from a bit of jpeg loss of detail.

Anyways check them out

Really happy with a good number of them, and I think they may make interesting comparisons from similar timed shots taken with the R-D1 .. I love the colour that film has captured, and the resolution and detail even with my poor epson 4490 is in a different league to the 6 megapixels of the R-D1 ... still I did take 4-5 times more shots with my R-D1 and got them straight away.. its swings and roundabouts.. :)
