RD-1s Finder
Hi Everyone,
I've been searching the forum for posts regarding repairs in Asia but it seems all of the information is regarding repairs in Europe or the US (or being unable to get it repaired in Japan! Yikes!).
My shutter is giving me blank frames. It was bad before I brought it out here from Canada and now, after 3 months, I'm getting about 50% blank frames. Not such a good percentage.
I was wondering if anyone has any contacts or information regarding R-D1 shutter repair in South-East Asia. Singapore? Hong Kong? Philippines... anywhere out here. I will not be home for a year and would prefer to send it somewhere in the area as opposed to across the Pacific or across Asia.
Note that I have indeed tried using just Epson batteries, I certainly do not have a full card, and banging the thing near the shutter button did NOT fix anything (though at this point it couldn't hurt and now I just do it for fun...).
Here's hoping someone can help!
Cheers,
Carlo
P.S. I will be calling Epson Tech today to see how much it will cost to get it done by them... but I'd still like to get it done by a local shop if possible!
