R-D1/s vs R-D1x/G

It's entirely possible that Epson has changed their policy since April. I just emailed Bellamy asking if that is indeed the case.

Bellamy's reply: Sorry, jet lat has blown me out. I might have told someone that it is possible to repair the camera. But you are right, they are no longer doing the RD-1.

!!! OK... that's lucky I didn't send it off then. Presumably he'll email me to say 'STOP'...

According to Epson website the R-D1s is supported until 2016.09.30 and since the R-D1x are still sold in major camera shops there is no support end date set.

Hi, it'kl be my first post here

So, as i am interested in an Epson R-D1 or 1s, did i understand it right that there is no official support, but free service points which are still able to repair a R-D1?
Thanks!

Ps: someone wants to sell his backup cam?:p

Some can do it in London - apparently, I never tried - , and for sure in Paris (at Photo Suffren for instance: leave the camera in the morning get its VF aligned and back to you in the afternoon). I'd trust a million times more Photo Suffren who are proper professionals, over the guys cited above in London... (by experience with them...sadly).

camera/: I'll let you know if mine becomes available...

Aperture got back to me and said they wouldn't touch it.

Quite funny how many shops say 'all types of camera serviced' and try to sound like pros but anything that isn't a canikon they say no way.
