R-D1 somewhere?

Okay guys, I managed a few shots today with my new to me RD1 and I'd like your opnions please. Not so much about the pictorial content, more on the results from the camera / lenses.

You can see them all here

The two I've posted here are of concern to me in that they show some smearing in the top left corner. It's not actually the same corner on each photo. Both taken wide open on the 40mm Rokkor.

I really like them, keep up the good work! On my R-D1s I had the same experience with the 25mm. On my M8.2 however there occurs to be no vignetting with these lenses (even hardly with the CV 15mm).

Kuvvy, could you point out or describe more specifically what you're seeing as "smearing"? I don't see anything out of the ordinary in the daffodil photo... maybe what you're seeing is what looks like a brownish out of focus plant stem pointing toward the upper left corner?

There is a lighter fuzzy line spanning the upper left corner of the dog photo. I take that to be something out of focus actually in the scene, a grass stem or such like.

You may well be right Doug. Never even occured that it could just be an out of focus object. There are a number of twigs scattered on my lawn so hopefully that what it is. As soon as I saw it on the photo I thought the worst. You know what it's like when you get new gear, you panic thinking you've bought a duff one.

Just wanted to sit in on this R-D1S lovefest.... Kumbaya...
