It's a long story but I now have my R-D1 back again, after it was sent to France because of a front focus problem.
It looks as though they have not repaired it but transfered the hotshoe with its serial number onto a brand new body, which does initially seem to be ok.
It appears to be a replacement body, the battery and strap rings that i left on the original body were missing. Epson UK kindly shipped me a new battery out the following day, but said that they would have to check about the strap rings.
Now, it has been that long and i only had the original body for a very short time i cannot remember whether the strap rings are circular or triangular or what size they are.
I have purchased some replacement triangular strap rings, however these appear at least to me to be too large.
Please can any of the R-D1 owners, first of all advise me as to whether the rings should be round or triangular and what size they should be?
Cheers

They are triangular, 15mm wide with a piece of cheap vinyl to protect the body from being scratched.

Indeed. And I don't use them. Just some 10 cent split rings (O-rings?) and my Op/Tech strap. That'll do.
