I had a chat with the ever helpful guys at Robert White today regarding the M8.
Anyway, apparently they have some R-D1s in stock (and also some refurb/ex-demo models). Just in case anyone is still looking for one. And lots of people here at the forums will vouch for their excellent service.

Count me in for recommending the excellent RW service. But I had bought exactly such a demo R-D1 from them, and there's almost everything wrong that can be wrong. Rangefinder out of alignment at close-up and at infinity (meanwhile adjusted by DAG), framelines AND the sensor tilted (!!!)... Jon of RW is trying to contact Epson UK about that since mid-septembre - still no answer from Epson.
As said in another thread, I wouldn't do that purchase again...

For that sort of money, it's worth it to take a weekend break in Bournemouth (very nice seaside town) and check them out before buying...Didier said:Count me in for recommending the excellent RW service. Phil,
Would love to visit Britain's south coast one day - but considering the fact I live in Switzerland I fear the costs of such a journey might double the camera's costs
