I'd like to share some pictures taken at a city park with the R-D1s + Leica 28/2 Summicron lens.
And it's a really fantastic lens.
Converted to B+W jpeg using Epson's RAW Converter software; no sharpening added during PP, just some contrast tweaking of the curve.

I particularly like that in the "gate" shot there is shallow dof which for me is a really bonus of that lens. The contrasty light there is problematic but in the first shot it provides a kind of nice touch on your subject.
Enjoy your lens! i have the 28 Elmarit Asph and really like it.

Thanks David for your comments.
I nearly got the 28/2.8 ASPH but I couldn't resist paying a bit more (I was offered a good deal) for the 28/2. ^_^

Looking good; I too like the gate shot. The 28 Summicron is a favorite lens on the M8 as well as the CLE.

With such good equipment, you have little excuse for bad pictures.

Equipment is rarely the issue with me.
The reason for not-so-good pictures is on the photographer - me.

Well... looking at his RFF gallery, payasam certainly has much more impressive pictures with not-as-good equipment, so that may justifiy his high criticism.
Constructive...? it is not.

Glad you liked my pictures, desire. What I meant was that you won't find equipment a handicap. No criticism, of any kind, implied. Those of us who're over the hill can be careless with words.
