R-D1's size compared to Bessa R4M.

I'd like to get a feeling of the size of R-D1. R4M is the only RF I have, therefore I can compare R-D1 with.

As I understand it both cameras are (were) built on the same chassis by Cosina, and so would be exactly the same size.

Dunno about R4m but my RD1S is larger than my R2A was. In particular, it's much taller.

The R-D1 is taller, wider and thicker than my R3A (AFAIK the same size as the R4x) by about 7-8mm in every dimension. It is also heavier. The big rechargable battery I think is the reason for taller and wider, and the LCD screen is responsible for thicker. The thicker body is what I notice most when using the R-D1 - not objectionable, but I really feel it when switching from a film RF.
