Yes he was. As was his wife Joan Lifton. If there were anyone in the world I would have taken a workshop with, it would have been him.

I appreciate his views. Funny, he quit being a writer to become a photographer; yet, it's what he writes that is stuck with me. Of course, I really like his photos also.
