I believe the T is an M mount camera and the R a LTM, will that make a difference? And the T needs external viewfinders, I don't think it has framelines (similar to your L). Good Luck!

Cheers William, just had a look at that R for sale would make a bid but not a lot of people on the US e-bay ship to the UK. One US site i have bought from is Camerawest.com they are very good with fast shipping to the UK,I check out a lot of stuff on E Bay want to bid and then find
they ship only to USA and Canada.
Regards

Dennis, go for the R. I did it the other way. Bought the R and within weeks bought the L. You can always contact the buyer and ask if they would consider shipping to the UK. Most, not all, will oblige. If you offer the BIN price (if oyur happy with it) they may post free.

I have the T - as Todd said, no viewfinder.

It's a bit of a strange duck - no viewfinder, but it does have a 1.5x rangefinder that gives it a long EBL. Being an M-mount, you'd need adapters for your LTM lenses, plus whatever viewfinder you require. ($$$) I love the camera, but the R is more convenient.

But of course like the L, the R cannot use M-bayonet mount lenses... From that standpoint the T and the R2 are more versatile, accepting also thread mount lenses with an adaptor.

Dennis:

You can't beat the price from Photovillage. It's a great combo, also. I've got it and love it. Works great and the images are very, very good. I paid something like $445 including shipping from CameraQuest just a couple of months ago. Of all the cameras I've got, the Bessa R and its 35/2.5 is my daily user.

I have both the R and the L. I got the R and 35mm combo here in Australia and then I got a 15mm and L.. Which I think I like more than anything so far 🙂 It all depends on what you want to do with either the T or the R. What lenses do you want to put on them and stuff?

Thanks for Info

Thanks for Info

Thank you all for the Info. The T. Iwas thinking of buying had a screw adapter with it,
but i think it makes sense to buy a New R.

I use my L with a jupter 8 and i am geting good results, i have recently bought a zorki 4 k for $40, and a Fed 4 with 35,50,and 135 lenses and a turret finder, for $100, so I am playing around with the combinations, I think an R with 35 lens would suite me best as a travel camera,

Dennis: I like your quote - from one of my favorite Dylan Thomas poems. Passed through Wales a couple of times back in my hippie hitchiker w/backpack days.
