R silver vs R black

Well, I believe that I decide by the R, but now I must to decide if in silver or black; I like two ones. Comment something on the matter to me, thanks.

Glad to hear you made a decision. Did you get a chance to handle both cameras? What lens are you going to get? I know you will be happy.

There's no right answer to this - go with what you are happier with! But that said.........
I have a black Bessa R2. I really like the black, it's far more subtle and less noticeable.
But I had a Silver/Chrome Bessa R. And it was the one that got allt he comments about "Old Camera" and "Classic" and "You payed HOW MUCH for THAT????"
Upshot for me: The silver is prettier, the black is less obvious.......

covers at BessaR/L are plastic, not metal. so I prefer black ones instead of silver "look-alike metal". sources say that black holds longer... my black Bessa-L is 4 years now, still looking good. The Bessa-R is younger.

Mine is black, but I do like the "classic" styling of the silver. While I would mostly agree that the black is less subtle for street shooting, I've never had a problem being more or less noticed with my SLR which is "classic silver," but then I usually stand further back and use a big lens (75-200).

I don't know why exactly, but I've always liked my black camera bodies more than my silver ones, aesthetically. Maybe I equate black with 'cool' ...

I have the black Bessa R and the silver Bessaflex, which I believe is the same silver finish as the Bessa R in silver. It is soft and scratches easily. I believe, based on my limited experience, that the black will hold up better over time. Pity, because I like the silver finish on my Bessaflex, but she's already scratched after only a few weeks - the Bessa R is clean as a whistle after a year or so.

This is only my experience - your mileage may vary!

I have the black Bessa L, and like it much. But when I had to decide on the colour of my R I chose the silver version. I like its colour better than the black of the L. Both have seen quite some action and both are still (also due to the bottom part of the case being on the camera laways) without scratches, bumps or nicks. Only the rewind lever of the R has caused some marks.

To break the 'dark' trend here, I have a silver R.
Mainly because when you slap a silver/chrome lens onto the black body it looks silly, well to my eye anyway. Also when you screw a black lens on, it looks good as well. Also my R has seen a fair amount of action of the last six months and is still in a pretty good shape.
I prefer two tone black/chrome cameras in general.
The reason behind black camera bodies is that in the studio you want little reflections as possible.
