Okay, is my R2 RF messed up ('messed up' being the technical term for the more common 'screwed up', of course)?

Last night I was getting my R2 and R2a packed and ready to head down to the Presidents office in Taiwan and do some shooting of a major protest that is happening today when I noticed something. When focusing, my R2a focuses all the way down to the .7m minimum of the lens while my R2 only focuses down to ~1m.

Is this right (the R2a RF is improved in this way) or should they be the same? 😕

TIA

I have an R2 and an R3a, and I believe that the R2's rangefinder can only focus to 0.9 meter, while the R3a can focus to 0.7. When the R2 was introduced, I don't think CV produced any coupled lenses that focused below 0.9 meter.

Okay, I'm glad I'm not nuts or need to send in my camera for a repair/re-alignment.

Comforting, since I'll be heading out to shoot after lunch 😛
