R2A/3A exposure lock question

I had read on photo.net that on the M7 you can adjust for exposure compensation by turning the aperture while the exposure is locked (holding the shutter button halfway down). Can this be done on the R2A/R3A - lock the exposure and use the aperture dial for exposure compensation?

There's an exposure lock button just below the advance lever. Exposure compensation can also be made by turning the exposure compensation settings on the shutter speed dial while in AE mode.

Terence,

So on R2A/3A you can use the aperture dial to do exposure compensation?
