Hi,

I just went to NY to visit some friends, yes even though the Icelandic economy is going down in flames. But I had saved some money to get the zeiss 50mm f/2. I got it used from Photovillage, and I must say those guys are excellent. Everyone of you going must stop by and visit them. Anyway here are some photos I took with my Bessa R2A and Zeiss 50mm f/2.0. Just wanted to share my excitement and joy. Hopefully you will also enjoy the pictures. I used a minolta Scan Dual II for scanning, these white spots what are they, and would scanning with a scanner equiped with Digital ICE fix them? And please all criticism on what I could do better is welcomed.

Kind Regards
Bippi

Wow! I particularly like the first six images. I love the way this lens does color. The colors and reflection on the cashews shot are wonderful. Nice work and congrats on the lens. Post more.

The white specks of dust are easy enough to clone, it's the hairs that are annoying. Your shots mostly have just the dust so you've won half the battle.

What film were these shot with? The colours are crazy. Often I get excited when scanning and don't crop out the edges, like in the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 7th.

Thanks guys for replies. But yes this lens is amazing. I shot these photos on fuji superia 400, shot at 400. Great film for only $1.99. Capitalk, yes I must admit that when I saw the colors I simply forgot to crop the photos. Just got carried away 😀

The dust specks can I get rid of them by blowing on the film with these pressured air bottles and rescan or simply just face it and start cloning?

And again thanks for your replies, it gives me confidence in posting more photos in the future.

The air may get rid of some but often there are always stubborn specks. I have an R2A and there's a Zeiss 50mm f/2 in the classifieds right now... if only I had the cash 😀

Damn cash always in the way😀, hopefully you will quicker finding more cash then I wil be cloning out these spots 😀
